Our library pumpkin 9 days after we carved it. You can see that we did put soil under the pumpkin, and squirted some water on the soil so it was wet, so that might have helped it to decompose more quickly. It will be interesteing to continue to watch it transform throughout the rest of the school year. FYI...Mrs. Morley is getting an XL ziplock bag to put our pumpkin tub in, just in case it starts to smell. We're excited to watch it decompose, but don't really want to see what it smells like.
