Dewey

 As we talk about nonfiction, and how it is organized by the Dewey decimal system, I couldn't help but think about Dewey the library cat. Have you heard about Dewey? Here is a video that tells a little about Dewey the library cat. We have a collection of cats in our library too, but they are not alive.

I am so excited to be physically back in the library with students!

We have been spending a bit of time talking about library behavior and how the library is organized by alphabet or number order. Since we haven't been coming to the library for awhile we're working hard to get back into the swing of how/where to find books and keeping the library organized. Here is a game I will be introducing to students this week that helps us practice alphabet and number (Dewey) order.
