SNOW!
With our first snow over the long weekend, and winter just around the corner, we are bringing the joy of SNOW into the library!
One of the resources I am sharing with students this week is the website snowcrystals.com where you can dive a little deeper and learn more about how snow crystals form. Check out the video below that is from the snowcrystals website.

Giving Thanks
With next week being Thanksgiving, this week in the library we are talking about things we are grateful for. We are also watching a book video from BOOKFLIX, a resource with a great selection of fiction book videos paired with a nonfiction eBook about the same topic. If you haven't used BOOKFLIX, and would like information about logging in to use it, reach out to Mrs. Morley.

SORA
Every student in ASD has an Overdrive account set up where students can access eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and more on an app called SORA. The way to sign in to SORA has recently changed and students now use their school credentials (their school email and password they created, the same way they log into the computers at school) so you will need to log out of old accounts and into the new account if you've been using SORA at home. HERE is a tip sheet for logging in to SORA at home. Please let Mrs. Morley know if you have any questions or problems doing this.
October Scary Stories
A very common questions throughout the month of October is, "Where are the scary stories?" I have tried to bump up our scary/Halloween/Fall book selections over the past couple years but we still don't seem to ever have enough. So, throughout the month of October students are invited to write a scary story of their own (elementary school age appropriate of course) and bring it to the library so we can hang them up to share with eachother and get our fill of scary stories.
